Methionine is an essential amino acid for hair growth. For this reason it could not be missing in our Fortify lotion. In addition, it is a key ingredient to counteract hair disorders thanks to its antioxidant properties.

Horse chestnut seed extract is used to treat vascular problems of both skin and hair. What role does it play in our formulas? Well, its great contribution is its anti-inflammatory properties.

Its scientific name - ceratonia siliqua seed extract - sounds like Chinese to us, but it is a high quality food that is very interesting for hair health. Its composition based on magnesium, iron, zinc, and vitamins A, C, E and B6, make this tree native to the Mediterranean Basin a very powerful ally to strengthen and repair hair.

Allantoin is the result of the chemical reaction between urea and glyoxylic acid, and is found in many animals and plants, such as snail slime or the Aloe Vera plant. Curious places! In hair grant, as well as in many cosmetic brands, we include it in our formulas for its astringent, anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory, healing and moisturizing properties.

We love Aloe Vera! We are going to tell you why in 3 short sentences to see if you also fall for its properties. Firstly, it contains proteolytic enzymes that repair dead skin cells on the scalp. It also acts as a great conditioner and leaves hair soft and shiny; promotes hair growth, prevents itchy scalp, reduces dandruff and conditions hair. Since Aloe Vera has a chemical composition similar to that of keratin, it rejuvenates the hair with its own nutrients, giving it more elasticity and preventing breakage. As you well know, from hair grant we always prioritize the use of natural ingredients but we have to recognize (because transparency is also one of our “must” and is part of the beauty of our brand) that there are 3 ingredients that are “different” from rest. These are: Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate and Benzyl Alcohol, all of them essential preservatives to keep our products in good condition. Although it is not our ideal... It comforts us to think that there are only 3 ingredients of the more than 55 natural ingredients that we use in our formulas and, above all, that in the near future viable natural alternatives will emerge to replace them;)

Did you know that Birch leaves and sap have been used for many years to prevent hair loss? Biotin favors the growth of rapidly reproducing tissues, providing more elasticity and less hair breakage. In addition, it improves the health of the roots and follicles, increasing the levels of oxygenation in the different tissues (including the hair bulb).

Burdock is a great unknown for non-experts in herbaceous plants. What you have to know is that it helps to improve scalp disorders such as dandruff, oil, irritation and excessive sensitivity. Its particular composition intervenes in the balance of hair oil, regulating both excess sebum and a too dry scalp. It's magic, isn’t it?

This medicinal plant is known to have anti-inflammatory and healing properties; that stimulates the skin's metabolism; and that regenerates the tissue. As for our topic (hair care), we can say that chamomile extract adds shine, eliminates itchiness on the scalp and revitalizes hair, leaving it more "relaxed", loose and natural.

There are many properties of camphor for hair: it relieves irritation on the scalp reducing dandruff and itching problems; combats hair loss and strengthens its roots; and improves its texture, providing a renewed sensation of hair growth.

It is a derivative of coconut oil and dimethylaminopropylamine. Its main functions? Reduce the surface hardness of the water and improve the quality of the foam, increasing one or more of the following characteristics: volume, texture and / or stability. That is why it is not surprising that it is a component used in a wide variety of cleaning products. And in all our shampoos!

Although its name is way too complicated to pronounce, its properties are very clear: it acts as a painkiller, preventing irritation caused by other surfactants; works as a thickening agent; boosts the foam; and improves the viscosity of the shampoo. In addition, this synthetic amphoteric surfactant -obtained from fatty acids in coconut oil- softens and gives a lot of shine to the hair. You will find it in all our shampoos!

Do not eat the coconut! We have already tried it ourselves, studying where we could introduce this natural ingredient with a high content of proteins and fatty acids. Its proteins act on the hair, protecting it from external aggressions, repairing and conditioning it. It is especially indicated to regain hydration and elasticity in curly hair, as it helps to form a capillary film that reduces the risk of breakage.

Did you know that corn protein promotes ease of styling? When trying a product with this ingredient you will notice a unique softness, a silky touch and complete hydration in your hair. We have formulated our Hair Color line with wheat protein to nourish those colored hair that need extra hydration.

Before telling you what it's for... Let's explain what Ethylhexyl Olivate is, shall we? Here we go!

Ethylhexyl Olivate is a natural ester derived from olive oil or, in other words, the natural replacement for silicones. We decided to include it in the formula of our Repair & Nutrition Serum because it forms a film on the surface of the hair that prevents it from losing its own moisture, providing hydration and suppleness. 

Did you know that eucalyptus is also an essential ingredient for hair care? Yes, it is! It cleanses the scalp in depth, eliminates its impurities and is a great option to combat dandruff and oil. In addition, it has antifungal properties that prevent the proliferation of fungi.

Fennel fruit extract (Foeniculum Vulgare) has anti-dandruff, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help protect the scalp from any external aggression. Its seeds strengthen hair follicles thus reducing hair loss. It is precisely for all this that we have chosen this natural ingredient for the Fortify shampoo formula;)

What would you say is glycerin in a hair product? Well much more than you can imagine! Repairs split ends; It stimulates hair growth; helps styling; adds shine to hair; eliminates frizz; solves dandruff problems; and combats excessive dryness of the scalp. Isn’t that enough?

The term Jojoba is sometimes even difficult to pronounce. But believe us when we tell you that you have to learn a lot from him. It is a vegetable with great benefits for hair care. Why? Because it has emollient, moisturizing, antioxidant and soothing properties.

Shea butter, traditionally considered a treasure in the cosmetics sector, is a wonderful source of properties for hair care, not only for its high moisturizing power - which helps it stay hydrated and shiny - but also for its great ability to rehydrate and condition hair. Palm, coconut oil and sugar are the 3 100% renewable plant-based raw materials that make up this non-ionic surfactant, with sustainable RSPO-MB certification. Do you want to know why it is in all our formulas? Because it acts as a foaming agent, emulsifier, conditioner and pH regulator and because, in addition, being such a natural ingredient, it is perfect for cleaning the most sensitive skin and all types of hair and scalps.

This mild anionic surfactant is derived from coconut, has excellent water solubility and is sulfate-free, allowing us to create super natural shampoo formulations. Its color? Transparent. What are its functions? Help maintain a clean surface and reduce the surface tension of cosmetics, contributing to the uniform distribution of the product on the hair.

You probably already know the medicinal properties of lemon balm and already know that it calms the heart muscle and restores the normal rhythm of the heart. What you may not know yet is that its extract also has a calming effect on the scalp. In addition, it helps to strengthen the hair and serves to accelerate its growth.

To speak of mint is to speak of a pleasant smell and a recognized freshness ... And this is precisely what mint brings to our formula: freshness and toning. But, in addition, mint helps to alleviate the discomfort of the scalp, which is why it is already a top ingredient for our Fortify shampoo.

It adds body, shine and silkiness; nourishes it, hydrates it and gives it softness; controls frizz; protects your color from external agents and UV radiation; accelerates drying; untangles it; and ensures you a long-lasting hairstyle. Just for all these benefits we should try to pronounce the full name of the statement!

That the orange has multiple nutrients and is rich in Vitamin C, is not new to you. What you probably didn't know yet is that its stem cells purify, regenerate and renew the cells of the scalp. And what does that mean? Which are especially recommended to prevent hair loss.

Piroctone Olamine has a powerful antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial action. It is used to treat seborrheic dermatitis and peeling skin. Also, fight the Pityrosporum Ovale… Excuse me? Well, neither more nor less than the most responsible for the production of dandruff.

Propylene glycol is an organic compound (an alcohol), which is often used as a humectant in pharmaceuticals, as well as in cosmetic products. We include it in our formulas because it helps other ingredients penetrate the scalp.

Its scientific name is Cucurbita Pepo Fruit Extract but, being amongst friends, we will call it pumpkin and we understand each other better.

The fact is that when we talk about this extract, we are talking about a superfood… Also for your hair! This natural component not only has softening, refreshing, moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, emollient and soothing properties, but it also provides many of the vitamins necessary for curly hair (which tend to be always drier by nature). You will find it in our Curl Defining shampoo!

Retinol helps us keep hair healthy both outside and inside, providing flexibility and reducing flaking of the scalp.

Rosemary, also known by its scientific name Rosmarinus Officinalis, in addition to being a well-known aromatic plant, is a great ally for hair and especially for oily and / or dandruff scalps thanks to its tonic effect and purifying power. For all that and so much more… Rosemary deserves to be in our Detox & Control formula!

Made from the fatty acids of coconut oil and isethionic acid, Sodium with the aforementioned surnames has brutal foaming power. It is biodegradable, serves as a cleaning agent and, in addition, it is a surfactant, which helps reduce the surface tension of cosmetics and contributes to the uniform distribution of the product on the hair.

We are not referring to the typical liquid soybean. We refer to soy protein; the one that is so appreciated by cosmetics because it hydrates and protects the hair; softens the cuticles and helps to reconstitute the surface of the hair fiber, wrapping the hair with a multi-functional protective film.

Being rich in vitamin E, tocopherol is used in many cosmetic products for its antioxidant properties. In addition, it is soluble in fat and is found naturally in vegetable oils such as palm oil, sunflower oil or wheat germ.

The extract of this perennial herbaceous plant is perfect for hair that tends to get greasy easily. In addition, it has a regenerative effect so it is especially recommended to strengthen brittle hair. You will find it in our Detox & Control shampoo!

In cosmetics, urea is produced synthetically (not from an animal source) and is used to help decrease moisture loss in a cosmetic product. In skin care, it increases the water content of the epidermis and acts as a moisturizer.

Vegetable oil is an essential ingredient for hair, which is why it could not be missing from the formula of our Repair & Nutrition Serum! Just a few drops are necessary to soften, moisturize and repair hair. 

Viscum album - commonly called white mistletoe, garter or visco -, in addition to medicinal properties, is attributed magical properties related to fertility and love (according to Celtic traditions). For us, the magic of this plant extract is that it calms, soothes and cares for the sensitivity of the scalp.

Yes. All our shampoos contain “water”, that liquid substance without odor, color or taste that is found in nature in its purest form, forming rivers, lakes and seas. This water is an elemental component in all our products.

The scientific name for Watermelon is Citrullus Lanatus Fruit Extract. Would you never have said that watermelon extract could have hydrating, refreshing, soothing and regulating properties of trans-epidermal water loss? Well yes! And, in addition, it contains vitamins E, A and C that act as an antioxidant, and help delay and prevent skin disorders, keeping it smooth and reaching the internal cells.

The yellow cinchona is a genus of phanerogamic plants of the Gentianales order of the Rubiaceae family, say what? Well, like us when we met her... Stunned to say the least! Here the important thing is to know that the yellow cinchona acts as a hair strengthener and growth stimulator. In addition, it prevents the scalp from falling and flaking.
